What is command line code to completely remove/purge the old versions of Open Shot apps/products? I wonder why Software Manager has multiple versions (some seemingly obsolete) by different names, all showing in Software Manager available to install? Is that an Ubuntu goof or an Open Shot goof? ![]() Do I need to install latest version from terminal, or is it OK to install it from Software Manager? Please give me advice and necessary code to copy/paste into terminal to purge/remove the old versions of software. Does that mean its for Windows, or is it for Linux on an X86_64 machine? I assume its the latter, but just asking. I now see another, later version in Software Manager called Openshot Video Editor 2.5.1, but it says it's for x86_64 architecture. What is latest stable version for Linux Mint? I want to completely remove/purge all things related to Open Shot and start over by installing the latest stable version. I tried to uninstall those 3 things using Software Manager, but uninstallation failed because after uninstalling Python3-openshot the other two disappeared, but I don't think they are removed. What are those things? Is that redundant app installation? Then I realized (in Software Manager) that it now appears I had 3 Open Shot products installed at same time, including two versions of Open Shot Editor: I installed Open Shot Video Editor without realizing it was already installed. ![]() I'm embarrassed to ask these newbie type questions 5 years into Mint, but here goes. Not sure if this belongs in Newbie section or Software section? I'm not fully a newbie after using Mint Cinnamon 18 for 5 years, but I so seldom had problems that I didn't learn much techie terminal skills to fix things. ![]() I'm using recently install Mint Cinnamon 19.3.
